Skip Jack on the left, is most always a good cut bait. The fresher the better mostly we can only find frozen. One place that sells Skip Jack is Winchester bait & tackle. On the right are Shad they also work well as cut bait. I think I would much rather have a live one. Sometimes they can be hard to keep alive. I can keep them alive pretty good, the main thing is to have a round tank and keep it clean. Shad are very sensitive to changes, and shock very easily. I like them to be at least 6 or 7 in.
